Monday ended up being a recovery day...legs were spent from the long run the night before so I ended up just doing an hour long recovery spin on the bike/trainer. I am not into riding in extremely windy conditions on the highway so there was no way I was going outside for that one.
Tuesday I rearranged my schedule a bit to put my swim immediately after work followed by a trainer ride. So, I hit the spin bikes during lunch and did some core afterwards. Swam right after work then headed home and rode the trainer. The trainer ride included a 30 minute effort at tempo power levels. Didn't really have the legs but did the best I could with what I had at the moment.
After the ride it was a trip over to Safeway to pick up some much needed vasoline. Apparently the chaffing was so bad from the run that my inner thighs have scabbed over...it is absolutely disgusting and no I won't be posting pics. So anyways, I am at Safeway last night to pick up some vasoline and ended up leaving with some junkfood.
First up, I had a bad hankering for something sweet so it was a stop at the bulk candy bins to pick up several varieties. I mix them into the same bag afterwards - the Freak Lunchbox in Halifax allows you to mix your candy into the one bag at the same price (weight) but Safeway doesn't do that...minor detail.
After that it was a stop in the chip section...saw my roomate with plain, ruffled chips on the weekend so I was craving them...more for the salt. So I picked up a bag of that as well.
Just so I didn't feel too bad I stopped in the fruit section and picked up a bunch of ripe bananas and these vegetarian chicken strips which are great in stirfry's.
Of course, when I got home my sweet/salt craving passed but I am now stuck with this junkfood...I guess someone will have to eat it.
Today is kinda a laxed day in training...just a bike/core workout during lunch and a tempo run tonight. This week is kinda of a recovery week - but where I missed a couple of days last week I didn't schedule my workouts this week too deep in recovery mode.

muffins are my weakness. Actually any baked good.
first off, bless you for not posting pics of scabs. ew.
b) seeing as i STILL haven't found stash of easter chocolate mom hid, i would be happy to take the sweets off your hands. haha. oh, any bridge mixture in there???
I tucked into some sinfully delicious macadamia nut things -- each nut is covered with a thin layer of cocnut, and then the whole ball is immersed in chocolate. Good fuel! :)
One of the disadvantages of living a stones throw from a 7-11 is that some nights, when I've got a DVD on, and a beer or wine going, I can hear the Doritos calling me from across the street.
This stuff will not go bad. Save it for the next party, your place or elsewhere. Bring it to that. (note to self, avoid chips at any party Shannon comes to.)
I second Susi's comment. Though you have to know that although 2 certified choco hunters have volunteered to help out for a very, very modest fee, she hasn't accepted.
