I had to get up a little earlier than usual this morning to come into work and help setup stuff for employee day we are having here on campus. Thankfully there was free Starbucks coffee involved so I was good to go. After that things started to get interesting...
Suffice to say, that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I have no tolerance for laziness and/or incompetency...let alone people who won't own up to their mistakes. You effed up, I am having to deal with your mistakes so at the very least...the LEAST you can do is acknowledge your screw-up and take ownership...WTF people!
On another note, we are getting blood work done tonight - both Mel & I. So the nurse calls yesterday and informs us:
- no fruits/sweets
- no carbs
- no veggies
- eat only protein today
What kind of fast is that? Holy snapping turtles arses! I had to bite back the rage when Mel told me this gem last night. Does this nurse not know I train between 14 - 20hrs a week? I go through calories quicker than a virgin dropping their underwear on prom night! Anyways, that just went in one ear and out the other...I had some fruit this morning along with a pastry.
We are applying for some type of insurance and now companies are asking if you have been in the hospital, for any reason, within the past 10 years. Because I had ACL reconstruction I have to go through a barrage of tests everytime we apply and/or go to renegotiate the term.
Just re-reading what I have posted so far...a little harsh...I'm blaming it on the drop in blood sugar level. They ran out of lunch at the employee day thingee...and I specifically didn't bring a lunch today because of that - joyous!
Today is a write-off in terms of training...too many things to get done. Not that mind anyways...yesterday was suppose to be a recovery day but I had a feeling Tuesday was gonna be on a gong show so I went balls-to-the-wall yesterday...ha!
Anyways, despite all the above, I am having a great day.
Dia de La Rioja my friends! (Spain)

You call THAT a fast!!??? Weenie. I had to go without eating anything, or drinking anything but water for umpteen hours before my blood, urine, AND EKG test.
And *I* go through calories faster than a boy's first time. So there.
:-)
quicker than a virgin dropping their underwear on prom night! ...sorta like faster than a boys first time ;)
potato - potatoe
I am with you on the whole incompetent and lazy people thing! My God, when I used to own the dollar store, I'd have all manner of people come in to apply for work. The thing is, these same people would be customers...Some of these people would be total a$$holes when they would shop in my store -- I honestly wondered how they thought I would ever hire them after that display!
I turn into a horrible monster when I get hungry -- just ask Mike. He stays right out of my way when I come blazing in from a bike or a run and head to the kitchen. LOL!!
