Had some great swim/bikes last week and weekend. Started having some knee issues while running - about 25 minutes into a run it starts to ache. Not debilitating, but enough to notice and realize that it is something that will get worse unless I get it looked at. Thankfully, the Athletic Therapist for the sports teams on campus has agreed to see me. She is also a hardcore competitor in her sport of choice and I have a feeling has a no nonsense approach to rehab and training. I can' wait to start working with her tomorrow morning and get this fixed!

In the meantime, I have to cut my run times, cut out speed work, and run only on the treadmill. Also will start water running this week. I got out an old pair of runners last night and washed them in the washer. Was reading somewhere you should wear runners while water running so you don't cheat and point your toes downward. Haven't tried it yet and I am not sure if the lifeguards at my pool will allow me to use...I'll let you know how it goes.

Happy Monday!

I see people in the pool wearing shoes every now and then. I think it makes running in the lane pool too easy. And running in the dive tank, if you want to make that a challenge, do it without the sissy float belt. Hope the knee isn't a problem for Clearwater!

Any special reason to fear flying, and not driving? Flying is practically the safest thing you can do, and driving just about the most dangerous. ebgames?

Fear of flying is a result of a frightening flight when I was kid. Ebgames...I enjoy playing video games...I like visiting ebgames to see all the different games and dream about all the ones I can't play because I spend too much time training.

You are a gamer..right? So my kids are little gamers as my hubby plays lots of video games...we were at at b-day party on the weekend and there was a guy who was making balloon characters...my 3 year old asked him to make "Master Chief"!!! OMG I was slightly embarrassed...

Yeah, I do enjoy playing video games from time to time. Mel might say it is obsessive but I disagree ;)
